Just a few more hours left until the official opening of H&M Philippines at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall! Already I see pics of the growing line of eager shoppers patiently waiting outside Megamall all over my Facebook and Instagram feed! ^_^ I can totally feel the excitement and anticipation growing as the clock counts down!
Today , I thought I’d share my personal experience and shopping picks from the launch! I’m certain everyone is trying to get all the info they can so they can be prepared and I hope this helps those who are planning to brave the first day of opening!
Yesterday, I joined some 1,500 VIP shoppers to have a little taste of what H&M has in store for the Filipino market! My Mom-In-Law and I headed up to the venue much earlier to have a little snack at the famed Tim Ho Wan because, hey, when in Megamall, how can you NOT?
After eating, it was about 6:50 so we headed towards the store to find that the crowd had SWOLLEN around the barricaded area!
At around 7pm we noticed that people were starting to pour into the store so off we went to the registration booth. Oh how I wish I had taken the time to take pics of the red carpet! I mean, it’s not everyday you get to walk down one right???
Everyone who had this band around their wrist had the license to PARTY AND SHOP ALL NIGHT!!! They had to cut it off upon exiting and I was totally begging to keep it as a souvenir but no dice 😦 (I’m a pack rat what can I say?) So registration done, we were all led into through the gleaming doors…
Bright smiles of the H&M staff greeted us as they dutifully handed out shopping bags to everyone who entered.
I am so glad that we got there early because then we had a teeny bit of wiggle room to explore. You could see the mad dashing of high heeled women from place to place. Everyone wanted to see everything at once!!! I too felt the adrenaline rush but I reminded myself that I needed to take pics for my blog and so off scouring I went!
Here are some of the things I found :
Those are just SOME of the things you can expect to see!! I got so dizzy I just kept taking pics while trying to decide what goes into my bag!
By 9pm more and more people were still coming in and so we thought it best to finish up and go home.
So what DID I end up buying? Well… Like I’ve mentioned before I’m really supposed to be on a shopping ban but the Hubster gave me a budget to work with just for the night (Thank you SO MUCH!!!). And since I AM trying to streamline my clothes into solid, classic pieces here are my picks for the night:
I also did some shopping for my little girl and I think she may have won haul of the night! (I really couldn’t help myself!!)
And that’s that!!! ^_^
WHEEEEEWWW!!! That was a LOT of pics to go through!!!! ^_^
It seems almost surreal to me that H&M is finally here!!! Safe to assume that almost all Filipino travelers stock up on their essentials and must have items when going abroad and H&M is THE quintessential stop over during most of our out the country trips! (I’m SUPER guilty of this!!) The sheer MASSIVENESS of an H&M store gets to me all the time. The fact that it can house up to 5,000 different fashion pieces tells me that I’ll find something of my own in there somewhere and even if I don’t (which has never happened yet!) I’m free to explore all the fashion possibilities with all that they have to offer!
Welcome home H&M everyone is just soooo excited to meet you!!! 🙂
